01What is an industrial control panel?
An industrial control panel is a metal enclosure that houses electrical devices such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, variable frequency drives, PLC controllers and HMI screens, along with busbars and wiring.
The panel distributes power, protects equipment against overload or short circuits, and controls machine operation according to a programmed sequence.
02Common types of industrial control panels
- Main switchboard (MSB) and sub-distribution panels: distribute power to different areas of the factory.
- PLC–HMI control panels: control the production line according to a program and connect to the SCADA system.

03Industrial control panel construction process
- Survey the current site conditions and agree on technical and capacity requirements.

- Fabricate the enclosure, apply powder coating, install equipment and wire according to the drawings.
- Program the PLC–HMI, perform dry testing and factory acceptance testing.
- Install on site, commission, carry out acceptance testing and hand over technical documentation.
- Provide warranty, maintenance and technical support during operation.
